About

Hello!

My name is Viktor and I am an IT engineer.

I mainly work as a DevOps engineer, but I have also had experience working as a Python developer.

I got my first programming experience when I was 12 years old, when my parents gave me a ZX Spectrum and I started attending a club where we programmed in BASIC.
Since then, it seems like I have always been interested in computers and everything related to them.

In my work, I really enjoy automating everything. I like working on architectural solutions, making systems more reliable, efficient, and manageable.
When writing code and making architectural decisions, I try to follow the principles of clean code and clean architecture.
I always keep in mind that whatever I create now will eventually need to be refactored.
That’s why I try to make sure that refactoring won’t become a pain later on.

Besides work, there are many other things I find interesting, so I’ll tell you a little bit about my interests outside of my job.

I enjoy any activities connected with travel and nature. I also really like going to the theater.
I also have a big family and I love spending time with them.
Also, I have Raspberry Pi 4B and this is my Home Lab. Today this is Retro Game Station and Media server based on KODI, tomorrow it will be meteostation, or NAS, for example.
And I also have a small mining farm. It mines a bit of Bitcoin, Kaspa, and Doge for me.

If you are interested in my professional experience, here is my CV.
